New Amazon Kindle (2022): what we want to see It's been nearly three years since a new Amazon Kindle ereader launched - we're talking about the entry-level version, though a new Kindle Paperwhite launched in 2021. That's quite a long time for Amazon to leave its entry-level ereader line without refreshing it, but it makes us hopeful that a new iteration is on its way very soon - we're also crossing our fingers for a new Kindle Oasis at some point too. Amazon typically only waits two or so years between generational updates for its ereaders though, so we expected a new Amazon Kindle to be released sometime in 2021. Clearly that didn't happen, but we'll almost definitely see one sooner rather than later. There haven't been any credible reports that a new Kindle is coming, but when some appear we'll make sure to bring them to you here; until then, though, we've written up a wish list of new features and changes we'd like to see in whatever e...

iPad 2022 could get 5G and more power, but not much else looks to be changing , DigiTech Geeks Mobile Computing News

iPad 2022 could get 5G and more power, but not much else looks to be changing We haven’t heard much about the iPad 2022 yet, but now a leak has revealed many possible core details of the slate, with the highlight being that it might support 5G, unlike its predecessor the iPad 10.2 (2021) . This is according to leaker @dylandkt , and unfortunately this might be the only particularly interesting upgrade the iPad 2022 gets, because in most other ways it sounds similar to the previous model, complete with a 10.2-inch screen, a Lightning port, and the same design. The source does list some other upgrades though, including the expected move to a more powerful A14 Bionic chipset (as used by the iPhone 12 range), along with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6. The iPad 10th Generation is coming out towards the end of this year with 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, A14 processor, 10.2 inch display, and the lightening connector. This will be the last model before a redesign is to take place in 2023. J...

New iPad 2022: what we want to see The new iPad for 2022 hasn't been rumored much just yet, but that's okay - Apple's entry-level line of tablets rarely sees the pre-release attention of big-ticket siblings like the iPad Pro (2022) , iPad Air (2022) or iPad Mini (2022), but it's still equally exciting. This range of iPads is designed for people who don't need loads of processing power, huge screens or fancy features, but just need an easy-to-use low-cost slate that'll serve them well. The iPad 10.2 (2021) did just this last year, but we normally see this slate line refreshed each year. Some of Apple's tablets are rumored to be getting big upgrades in 2022, but we're not expecting the entry-level iPad to see that love - each generation usually only brings minor tweaks, not big reinventions. There’s little in the way of news about Apple’s next entry-level slate yet, but we can predict some things, and you’ll find those below, covering the possible r...

New iPad Pro (2022) release date window, potential price, news, rumors and leaks The iPad Pro (2022) could be one of the best tablets of 2022, if Apple carries on its winning streak: the iPad Pro (2021) was one of our favorite slates from last year, as Apple's Pro tablets offer loads of power and great-looking screens. We've heard a few rumors about this upcoming iPad Pro so far, and that's because some think the new slates could be a reinvention for the series after a few years of similar-looking slates. Apple needs to make sure its iPad Pro (2022) is impressive, and that's because competition is coming: the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 family could steal its thunder, especially if the rumored Tab S8 Ultra is as big and powerful as leaks suggest. Ahead of an official unveiling for the Galaxy Tab S8, we've listed all the information provided by leaks and rumors below. There's also a wish-list for the tablet, which explores what we want to see based ...

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 leak suggests it should be cheaper or come with a charger Just a day after an enormous leak spilled the beans on most of the key details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 range, there’s now another leak, one which reiterates some points and fills in some gaps. This comes from LetsGoDigital , and one of the new things that the site claims is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 won’t come with a charger in the box. We’ll get into whether that’s likely and why that could be a bad thing further down, but first, there’s a bunch of other stuff the site has also claimed. It says that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 5G, Android 12 , 8GB of RAM, a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and Samsung’s One UI 4.1 skin. The slate will apparently get three years of Android updates and four years of security patches, lacks a notch, and has a 12MP selfie ca...

New iPad Air 5 release date, price, news and leaks , DigiTech Geeks Mobile Computing News

New iPad Air 5 release date, price, news and leaks If leaks are to be believed then the iPad Air 5 might land sooner rather than later, which makes sense, as the iPad Air 4 is getting on a bit now. The first three generations of iPad Air had all sported a fairly similar look, but the iPad Air 4 brought a design overhaul to the series, moving it from merely being a larger entry-level iPad into effectively an 'iPad Pro Lite' device. The 2020 iPad Air hit the shelves with a modern-looking design, generous processing power and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but without some of the premium features that make the iPad Pro the top-dog tablet. So what could the iPad Air 5 bring? Another design update? Improvements to the screen? An extra camera? We've heard that all of these and more might be in the works, and you can read full details of all the leaks and rumors below. We've also put forth a wish list of what we'd like Apple's next generation of tablet to loo...

Updated iPad Air 5 with A15 chip and 5G rumored to land early this year , DigiTech Geeks Mobile Computing News

Updated iPad Air 5 with A15 chip and 5G rumored to land early this year A few recent rumors have pointed to Apple launching its 3rd-gen iPhone SE in March or April of this year at a virtual event and, if the latest whispers on the grapevine are anything to go by, we could be seeing the iPad Air 5 announced at the same time. Japanese tech blog Mac Otakara has claimed via a "reliable source in China" that both the iPhone SE 3 and 5th-gen iPad Air will launch in 'the spring of 2022' (so between March-May). The latest leak claims that the overall design of the 2020 iPad Air 4 will be retained in its fifth iteration, including its single-lens primary camera, 10.9-inch display and squared edges. However, as is to be expected, the internals are due for an upgrade – chief among them, the A15 Bionic chipset of the iPhone 13 range is rumored to be powering the iPad Air 5, as well as 5G support for the cellular models and a 12MP ultrawide front-facing camera. 2021 sa...
